The Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality Cemal Bulutoğluları replied to the statements that the members from the opposition parties in the Municipal Council of Nicosia made about him. Reminding that being a municipal member needs responsibility, Bulutoğluları connoted that specially members from CTP behave irresponsibly and non-seriously. Emphasizing that new lies are being told about him every day, Bulutoğluları said “These municipal members continue to disappoint the people who voted for them. They try to create tension by making ridiculous press statements instead of participating in serious works in the Council.”

“I cannot understand how they thought that I used bad language for them”

Stating that it is completely a lie that he used bad language to the municipal Councilors in the meeting, Bulutoğluları said “Especially the nervous behavior of the CTP Councilors try to ratten the council. However, other sensible members and I are not going to allow it.  I cannot understand how they thought that I used bad language for them. My suggestion to them is to work for the future of Nicosia like we do. The best way for them is to accept democracy and help the Council for the benefit of the Municipality”.
