This building is built in Gothic flamboyant style by the Lusignans in the 14th century. It is used to known as St.Catherine’s Cathedral. Then it was adapted to a mosque by adding a minaret, a mihrab and a mimbar, and then it was named after Haydar Pasha, a general of Ottoman army. The interior of the building measures 18 *8 meters. It consists of a main area covered with cross vaults and pulpit which ends in three-sided apes. Three doors surrounded by richly decorated pointed frames lead to the building. Over the western entrance there is rose window.

| İPLİK PAZARI MOSQUE | ||

It is a modest mosque located at Iplık Bazaar Street. The inscription on the entrance of its main hall, it is recorded that the mosque had been restored in 1899 by Mehmet Sadık, the director of the Office of Evkaf. This mosque is still being used as a worship place with its cylindrical minaret on its eastern corner.

Building has "L" shaped two-storey courtyard-plan and its garden is at the back. All rooms open to the main hall. On the ground floor, all rooms open to the terrace area. Numbers of storey are two. The aim was to bring medium or large size organization to Arabahmet so that the project area is visited by wide variety of people. Even though the tenants of the building have changed since its restoration, in1998 it has always served for its purpose. Nowadays it serves as a women library.

This park is situated at the western side of the Kyrenia Gate within the moat. It has traditionally been a green recreation area for more than 40 years. This park originally had a pool which swans were swimming in. That is where the name “Kuğulu” (swan) park gets its name. It was an area where citizens of Nicosia visited for relaxation and social gathering. At later stages the park was attended by the municipality and it has been renovated in 1993 and it was renovated twice in recent years. The building inside the park is serving for the municipal inspectors. And there are children playgrounds in the park. It has a capacity for organizing meetings, concerts and other activities.
